Acid Rain

Acid rain is a form of air pollution. It is much more acidic than normal rain for a number of reasons. It is formed when sulfur oxides from coal burning and nitrogen oxides mix with water in the air. Those acidic materials are then evaporated and eventually rain down again. The acid rain that comes down can damage buildings and even statues. It also makes lakes and ponds acidic and kills of the lifeforms that thrive in that water. As you can see, acid rain is a very dangerous and deadly air pollutant.
